ADA Portable Restroom Rental

ADA Portable Restroom Rental

An accessible restroom isn’t a standard porta potty with a wider door — it’s a different unit. Our ADA-certified portable restrooms (Satellite Freedom) are built to be used independently from a wheelchair: ground-level entry with no step, a 32.7-inch doorway, interior grab rails, and enough floor space to enter, turn and exit without assistance.

Next-day delivery as standard, same-day with a fee — in any season. No delivery fee except on same-day and emergency runs, no minimum rental period.

Two planning numbers matter more than the rest: the 86.5-inch depth — an ADA unit takes roughly twice the ground of a standard unit, so allow for it in the site plan — and the 9-foot delivery access, against 4 feet for a standard unit. Tell us at booking where the unit is going and we’ll confirm the truck can reach it.

Where ADA units are required

Public events

If an event is open to the public, accessible restrooms are part of the sanitation plan — and where any portable toilets are provided, accessible ones must be among them, positioned on an accessible route (firm surface, no curb or grass gap between the unit and the path). Requirements come from the venue, the municipality’s permit conditions and the ADA itself, so confirm numbers with whoever issues your permit. As the working baseline, we recommend one ADA-certified unit and one handwash station per four standard restrooms — the ratio in our event guide.

Job sites

Construction sanitation counts come from OSHA, and accessibility provision follows the site’s own spec and workforce — see our OSHA porta potty requirements guide. Many general contractors now specify at least one accessible unit per site as standard practice.

Everywhere else

Parks programs, school events, film sets, municipal projects: anywhere the public or a workforce includes people who need one. One unit covers most placements; the cost of including it is small, and the cost of not having it — for the person who needed it — is the whole event.

Also worth knowing: every ADA-certified unit doubles as a family restroom. Parents with small children and anyone assisting another person use the space as much as wheelchair users do, which is why we place them at the front of a unit line, not the end.

ADA unit or ADA restroom trailer?

The plastic ADA-certified unit is the right call for job sites, public events and anywhere guests expect standard portable facilities. For weddings and premium events where the rest of the party is using a restroom trailer, we carry an ADA 1+2 restroom trailer — one fully accessible restroom with ramp entry alongside two standard stations, climate-controlled, supporting up to 200 guests. It keeps every guest in the same facility rather than parking a plastic unit beside a trailer.

Delivery across Central Texas

We deliver ADA-certified units from our Hutto yard across Williamson, Travis, Hays and Bell Counties and the Hill Country — next-day as standard, same-day with a fee, in any season, with weekly service included: pumping, cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking with hand sanitizer and toilet paper at every visit.

What an ADA unit costs depends on rental length and service frequency — our porta potty rental cost guide explains how the quote is built.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a portable restroom ADA-compliant?

Independent use from a wheelchair: ground-level entry with no step, a doorway wide enough for a chair (ours are 32.7 inches), interior grab rails, and clear floor space to enter, turn and exit without assistance. Our units are ADA-certified, which is a stronger claim than “accessible.”

How many ADA portable restrooms does an event need?

Wherever portable toilets are provided, accessible ones must be among them, on an accessible route. We recommend one ADA-certified unit and one handwash station per four standard restrooms as the working baseline, and your permit or venue may set specific numbers.

How big is an ADA portable restroom?

66 inches wide by 86.5 inches deep and 90.5 inches tall — roughly twice the footprint of a standard unit. Delivery needs about nine feet of clear access, so flag the placement when you book.

Does an ADA unit need power or water?

No. Like our standard units, it’s self-contained: delivered filled and ready, no hookups, serviced weekly with cleaning, pumping, sanitizing and restocking.

Can a wedding use an ADA unit with a restroom trailer?

Yes — or better, use our ADA restroom trailer: one fully accessible, climate-controlled restroom with ramp entry alongside two standard stations, so every guest uses the same facility.
