Shower Trailer Rentals

Portable shower trailers for job sites, film and TV productions, and multi-day events across Central Texas. Each trailer has five private stalls — every one with its own toilet, sink and hot shower behind its own door. Climate controlled, delivered set up, and serviced on a schedule.

Off-peak, one to two weeks lead time. Same-day and next-day often possible with an emergency fee. For March–May and October–November, book six to eight weeks ahead.

What a shower trailer is

A shower trailer is a towable unit fitted out as a set of private bathrooms — each with a shower, toilet and sink — designed for places where people need to wash but there’s no plumbing to hand. It’s climate controlled, has hot water, and runs from an on-board water supply or a site connection.

The difference from a restroom trailer is the shower. Otherwise the logistics are similar: it needs a level surface, power, water, and periodic servicing. What changes is that a shower trailer fills its waste tank faster than a restroom trailer, because showers use a lot more water than flushing toilets — which is why the servicing schedule is different.

Where shower trailers are used

Long-term job sites

Remote or multi-week construction sites where crews are on site for extended shifts, or where workers need to wash before leaving — decontamination after handling certain materials, for example. On a Central Texas site in July, a shower trailer stops being a luxury.

Film and TV productions

Basecamps on location shoots — ranch, rural, remote — where cast and crew are on set for long days without hotel access between calls. Shower trailers are standard on productions of any size, and they’re one of the first things a location manager asks about.

Multi-day events and festivals

Camping festivals, endurance events, multi-day sporting events, retreats. Anywhere people are on site overnight without permanent facilities.

Emergency and relief

Temporary accommodation, disaster response, worksite housing.

Water, waste and servicing

The single most important thing to understand about a shower trailer is that the waste tank is the constraint, not the freshwater tank.

Showers use a lot of water — a lot more than a restroom trailer’s flushing toilets. If the trailer is connected to site water, the freshwater supply is effectively unlimited, and the waste tank fills at the rate people shower. A 250-gallon waste tank on a busy site can fill in a day.

This is why we service shower trailers two to three times a week as standard, and why we ask about expected usage at the quote stage. A crew of ten showering once a day is a different servicing problem from a festival with 200 campers.

Options for extending capacity:

  • Waste holding tank

Alongside the trailer, 250 or 300 gallons, extends the interval between services

  • Freshwater tank

275 gallons, where there’s no site water and the on-board supply isn’t enough

  • More frequent servicing

Including overnight or early-morning pumping between event days

If you’re running a multi-day event, tell us the daily headcount rather than the total. It changes the plan.

Power and site requirements

Power.

Shower trailers draw more than restroom trailers because of the water pumps and the water heater. Plan on one to two 30-amp connections. If the site has no power, we supply a 9,500 W generator — larger than the one that goes out with a restroom trailer, for the same reason.

Water.

Either connect to a site supply, or run from the on-board tank (125–200 gallons) with a freshwater tank alongside for larger requirements.

Propane.

The water heater runs on propane, supplied with the trailer.

Ground.

Level, firm surface — the same requirement as our restroom trailers. Level within about three inches across the width, no more than an 18-inch fall front to back, and roughly ten feet of clear access to get the trailer in.

If you’re not sure whether a site works, send us a photo of the spot and the approach.

Booking

Two shower trailers are always available to us. Beyond that, availability depends on partner supply, so earlier notice matters more for shower trailers than for standard units.

  • Off-peak: one to two weeks preferred

  • Peak (March–May, October–November): six to eight weeks

  • Same-day / next-day: often possible, with an emergency fee

Shower trailer FAQs

How many people can a shower trailer serve?

Five stalls, each with a toilet, sink and shower behind a private door. In practice the number of people served per day depends on how long each shower takes and how the waste tank is managed — a crew of ten to twenty showering once a day is comfortable with standard servicing; a large festival crowd needs a servicing plan.

Do shower trailers have hot water?

Yes. The water heater runs on propane, which is supplied with the trailer.

Do shower trailers need power and water?

Yes. Power for the lights, climate control and water pumps — typically one to two 30-amp connections, or a 9,500 W generator supplied if the site has none. Water either from a site connection or the on-board tank of 125–200 gallons, with a freshwater tank available for larger needs.

How often does a shower trailer need servicing?

Typically two to three times a week, more than a restroom trailer, because showers fill the waste tank much faster than toilets. On heavy-use sites we can add a waste holding tank to extend the interval, or service more frequently including overnight.

Are shower trailers private?

Yes. Each of the five stalls has its own exterior door and lock, and contains its own toilet, sink and shower. Nobody shares.

Are shower trailers climate controlled?

Yes. Air conditioning and heat.

Do you supply shower trailers for film sets?

Yes. Basecamp shower trailers for location shoots are a regular part of our film and TV work across Central Texas.

Can I get a shower trailer for a multi-day festival?

Yes. Tell us the daily headcount and the number of days rather than the total attendance — that’s what determines the servicing plan and whether a waste holding tank is needed alongside.

How far ahead should I book a shower trailer?

One to two weeks off-peak; six to eight weeks for March–May and October–November. Shower trailers are in shorter supply than restroom trailers, so earlier notice matters more.
